Premio "Paolo Soprani" Award to Raymond Bodell, CIA President - Italyby Harley Jones |
Premio "Paolo Soprani" Award, now in its 5th edition was presented by Mirco Soprani, the Mayor of Castelfidardo, Vincenzo Canali, President of the International Accordion Museum Castelfidardo and Mirco Patarini, President of Scandalli Accordions s.r.l. at a ceremony in Castelfidardo on the 17th September. The 2014 "Paolo Soprani" Award recipient is President of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Raymond Bodell in recognition of the work of the CIA and President Raymond Bodell in promoting the accordion and internationally bringing accordionists together. The award sponsor is Scandalli Accordions s.r.l. and the Premio "Paolo Soprani" award statue is the design creation of famous Italian sculptor Franco Campanari. The statue is a real work of art in bronze, coming complete in a specially designed box with a published book about the art of Franco Campanari.
