Graham Geddes SCDB Goes East for St Andrew’s Day – Taiwan, Thailandby Rob Howard |
The Graham Geddes Scottish Country Dance Band leaves Scotland this week, heading for Taiwan and Thailand where they will play for St Andrew’s Day events. These are at the Grand Hyatt, Taipei, Taiwan, on November 20th, and on November 27th in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Dusit Ani 5 Star Hotel and for the 15th year at the Bangkok St Andrew's Society Ball. Graham Geddes (born 1961) started his musical career on accordion at the age of 14, taught by Peter Farnan of Dundee. He went on to win various accordion competitions in and around Scotland in the 1970s. Graham also performs as a vocalist and saxophonist, having studied voice and piano at Trinity College of Music, London. He has performed regularly on TV and BBC Radio Scotland, has composed themes for various television companies, and has made many recordings. For further information email: gizasong@aol.com |
