 ‘Mastering Accordion Technique’ is a new book by Claudio Jacomucci with Kathleen Delaney, offering a new approach to playing the accordion based on the Alexander Technique.Claudio Jacomucci is a renowned concert accordionist and teacher, and Kathleen Delaney is a professional dancer and Alexander Technique practitioner. The Alexander Technique is designed to help people unlearn bad physical habits, and this book aims to apply its principles to help accordionists play in a relaxed, more efficient and correct manner. The first part of the book deals with specific issues of accordion playing, and the second part focuses on the Alexander Technique, and its practical application to playing the accordion. There will be a book presentation by Claudio Jacomucci and Kathleen Delaney on April 25th, 6.30pm, at ArtEZ Hogeschool, Arnhem, Netherlands. Free entrance.
