 Leading French accordionist Richard Galliano is in concert at the Maestro Yury Temirkanov Grand Philharmonic Hall, St Petersburg, on October 2nd, 7pm.Richard Galliano (born 1950) is one the most accomplished accordionists of international renown, and performs to full houses in concert venues around the world. An innovative musician, Galliano devised ‘New Musette’ some years ago that is often said to be to musette music what Astor Piazzolla’s ‘Tango Nuevo’ was to traditional tango music. This venue, which opened in 1802, has seen performances by many famous musicians, including Franz Liszt, G. Berlioz, Richard Wagner, Gustave Mahler Arturo Rubinstein, P.Viardo, P.
