| The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending February 21st 1997 reported exploits of ‘Bellows and Blades’, an accordion duo who perform whilst ice skating – quite an accomplishment! BELLOWS AND BLADES CONTINUE TO IMPRESS Contributed by Tom Torriglia Bellows and Blades, a duo who play accordion while on in-line skates, recently performed for three days at the NHL Pinnacle Fantasy as part of the NHL's All-Star Game. The event was held at the San Jose Convention Center. They skated through the Center entertaining people, performing to people standing in line to get into the Center, and dining patrons. They certainly got some good press coverage, including a shot on MTV for their Hockey special. The promoters were impressed enough to ask Bellows and Blades to perform at the MLB All-Star game extravaganza in Cleveland from 4th to 8th July. A major piece on the duo (with photos) is appearing in the nationally distributed March issue of In-Line Magazine. |
