Sergey Osokin will perform in a concert entitled "Jazz Accordion and Russian Folk Orchestra" at the International House of Music, Schnittke Hall in Moscow, Russia on November 23rd, 2023. Sergey will perform with the Russian Folk Orchestra "Moscow" (Moscow State Institute of Music. A.G. Schnittke) under the artistic director and conductor, Nikolai Aldanov. Their program will include Jazz Suite (Tsfasman); Aconcagua, "Four Seasons in Buenos Aires", "Libertango", and "Oblivion" (Piazzolla) as well as "Tango for Claude" and "Margot's Waltz" (Galliano). The accordion has the ability to convey the entire palette of human emotions, deep sadness and unbridled joy, with both simple melodies and serious academic music and jazz. The concert at the House of Music is dedicated to this topic. Sergey Osokin is a Russian accordionist who has received recognition in many countries around the world and is a laureate of more than twenty international competitions. He combines academic art, jazz and musette in his work. |
