| Adiós Nonino performed by 5 students from the Conservatorio "Jesús de Monasterio" at the December 2013 XXI Accordion "Arrasate Hiria" 2013 International Competition and Festival (Accordion Festival Guipuzcoano, Mondragon) where the Quintet was awarded the 1st prize, Category Senior Chamber Music. The formation of the quintet is inspired by the original Piazzolla Quintet and consists of: Juan Matias (accordion), Cristina Cubas (violin), Naomi Gonzalez (guitar), Daniel Gutiérrez (piano), Javier Bolado (acoustic bass). Accordion tutor at the Conservatorio "Jesús de Monasterio" Music Conservatory of Santander, Spain is composer / performer / historian Gorka Hermosa. |
