International Accordion Championships, Sydney - Australiaby Tania Lukic-Marx |
 The Australian International Accordion Championships take place on June 6th and 7th at Club Marconi, Prairie Vale Road, Bossley Park, Sydney, NSW 2176. To date, entries have been received from Serbia, Croatia, New Zealand and Australia, with the wide variety of age competition classes covered. The event is run by the Australian Accordion Teachers Association.The festival guest artistes include: Nemanja Drazic , Serbia (2nd place 2003 Coupe Mondiale Juniors), Mia Cojbasic, Croatia (4th place 2007 Castelfidardo International Accordion Competition Seniors; 4th place 2008 Tianjin China International Accordion Competition), Marko Miletic, Serbia, World Accordion Champion (2008 Coupe Mondiale Piano Accordion Class), Australian Accordion Concert Ensemble, Accordigles, Funkordion, and more… On Sunday June 7th the AATA invites participants and observers to take part in the master classes with prominent international accordion teachers.
