 Accordionist Cesare Chiacchiaretta performed in concert in Helsinki on September 13th, with a program of some of the best known Italian music, from the Baroque era to the present day, in its various and original forms. The transcriptions presented music ranging from composers such as Domenico Scarlatti, Antonio Vivaldi, and Gioachino Rossini, including the Busoni arrangement of the ‘Chaconne’, by JS Bach. There was also music composed by Rachmaninov, transcribed in an Italian style. The concert was presented by Italian composer and musicologist Paolo Rosato. |
