 Leading diatonic accordionist and folk singer John Kirkpatrick has released a new CD, featuring 12 songs and 2 instrumental tracks. For this recording Kirkpatrick mainly used his Casali 3-row diatonic British chromatic accordion, but also played a 2-row melodeon and Anglo concertina on a couple of tracks. The CD’s title ‘Coat-Tails Flying’ derives from the penultimate track, ‘See Me Dance The Polka’, a bouncy and joyous Music Hall song written in the 19th Century.
