Daily Reports and Competition Results: 2010 Concorso On Sunday, 10th October, the 35th edition of the International Accordion Competition held in Castelfidardo ended. Held under the artistic direction of Maestro Paolo Picchio, the event attracted participants from some 25 countries and three out of five continents. Despite a strong presence of Russian and French winners, Italian contestants achieved two wins, one of which by Thomas Arena bringing back victory to Italy for the first time in 14 years for Category D, concert accordion with no age limit. Thomas Arena has won numerous national and international competitions, recently graduating with honors from the Conservatory F. Torrefranca Vibo Valentia and continued his studies with Maestro Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi.
