En ligne: Le congrès d’hiver 2021, Basel - Suisseby Kevin Friedrich, CIA Ambassador |
Avec les restrictions et circonstances en cours liés à la pandémie de Covid–19 la 145ième assemblée générale des délégués de la CIA qui devaient se tenir en Suisse, sous l’hospice du membre votant « Première » accordéon .ch de la Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) s’est transformée en une réunion en ligne, permettant la participation du plus grand nombre. Nous remercions l’association suisse accordeon.ch dirigée par le président Ruedi Marty, pour tout le travail effectué en amont pour l’organisation du congrès d’hiver et nous avons hâte de nous rendre en Suisse pour la prochaine Coupe Mondiale qui se tiendra à Zofingen du 4 au 9 octobre 2022. Les membres recevront prochainement une invitation du secrétaire général Kimmo Mattila. |
Le festival d’accordéon d’hiver de Kokkola - Finlandeby Harley Jones |
Le festival d’accordéon d’hiver de Kokkola se tiendra du 6 au 14 février 2021, à Kokkola, en Finlande. Le programme du festival qui durera une semaine est déjà prêt. Le festival se déroulera selon les règles sanitaires liées au Covid-19. De ce fait les concerts auront une audience réduite et seront retransmis aussi en ligne. A droite vous trouverez la liste des musiciens et concerts et vous pouvez vous rendre sur la page facebook du Festival d’accordéon d’hiver de Kokkola ou sur la chaine youtube pour voir les concerts. Le premier festival d’accordéon d’hiver de Kokkola a eu lieu en 1999. Le fameux professeur et accordéoniste originaire de Kokkola, Raimo Vertainen (photo à gauche) est le directeur artistique depuis la création du festival et cette année sera la 22ième édition du festival. John Kirkpatrick décoré comme MBE - UKby Rob Howard |
Accordions Worldwide félicite John Kirkpatrick (joueur d’’accordéon, de melodéon et de concertina) qui a été décoré comme MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) lors des décorations de l’année nouvelle 2021 en Grande Bretagne, pour ses services rendus à la musique folk. Le MBE est une décoration donnée pour un accomplissement ou service exceptionnel rendu à la communauté. Cela aura un impact important sur le long terme et donnera l’exemple pour d’autres. La liste des gens choisi pour être décoré est donnée quelques jours avant la fin de l’année, à l’occasion de l’anniversaire de la Reine. Durant le confinement 2021 Covid-19, John prévoit de donner des concerts en ligne toutes les quelques semaines. Son prochain concert se tiendra le 24 janvier 2021 à 19h30 GMT. Il jouera des morceaux et chansons de ses cds “Morris On”, "Sheepskins", "The Duck Race", “Plain Capers” et beaucoup d’autres ... |

Tous les accordéonistes sont invités à participer à la 1ière compétition internationale Accordion Star 2021 qui se tiendra du 16 au 25 avril 2021. C’est une opportunité pour les jeunes accordéonistes de talent du monde entier de partager leur art avec une large audience. Le président du festival est le musicien Sergei Teleshev (photo à gauche). Le jury international inclura de célèbres musiciens, professeurs, compositeurs, chefs d’orchestre, producteurs des USA, Canada, Russie, Ukraine, Biélorussie, Serbie, Allemagne, Suède, Angleterre, France, Israel, Afrique du Sud et autres pays. Le président du jury est l’artiste du people russe, Viatcheslav Semionov. Les catégories pour la compétition sont ouvertes pour différents groupes d’âge pour les solistes de 8 à37 ans , pour les groupes de musique d’ensemble sans limite d’âge, et une catégorie spéciale “la musique de Bach”. En plus de programme de la compétition, des concerts, masterclasss, entretiens et présentations des membres du jury et autres invités du festival seront présentés. 85ième anniversaire du Britisch College of Accordionists – Grande Bretagneby Rob Howard |
Le British College of Accordionists célèbrera son 85ième anniversaire en 2021 avec un festival en ligne et une compétition national pour soliste ouverte à tous les accordéonistes anglais. Le comité directeur du BCA Administration Board inclut le directeur Raymond Bodell, Graham Laurie, Alistair Gillespie et Anna Bodell et les membres du comité exécutif sont Robert Fletcher, Patrick Hay, Harry Hinchcliffe, Mahir Kilic, Pauline Noon, Ken Farran et Wendy Farran. VIII Music Festival "Gnesin's RAM Students" Day 1 - Russiaby Arseniy Strokovskiy |
Video: Danil and Olga Sharavyeva. The 8th music festival "Gnesin's RAM Students" was held in a virtual format on the stage of the large hall of the Kurgan Philharmonic. The first guests of the festival were Danil and Olga Sharavyeva from Yekaterinburg. Literally from their first performance, Danil and Olga won the love and respect of the public. In 2015, their duo was recognized as the best instrumental team of Yekaterinburg. Their repertoire is extensive and diverse, including many styles from Bach's organ music to pop-jazz popular compositions. Currently, Danil and Olga Sharavyeva are soloists of the Ekaterinburg House of Music, as well as assistant trainees of the Ural State Conservatory named after M.P. Mussorgsky. Day2 of the VIII festival "Gnesin's RAM Students" included a performance by young musicians Vladimir Stupnikov (bayan) and Ivan Sendetsky (cello). Vladimir Stupnikov, winner of more than 30 international competitions, is currently a graduate of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory of Art and Korsakov 2019, a class of Prof. A. I. Dmitriev and continues his training in assistant-internship at the Russian Academy of Music by Gnesin, the class of Prof. Friedrich Lips. Competition prizes include: 1st prize - International competition Trophee Mondial de l'Accordeon (2015 in Switzerland) 1st Prize - II All-Russian Music Competition (2017 in Russia) 1st Prize - International Competition - Coupe Mondiale (2017 in Italy) 1st prize - International competition - 43 PIF Castelfidardo, category Premio (2018 in Italy) Ivan Sendetsky (cello) is the winner of many international competitions from 2007 through to 2020 and plays at a variety of music festivals. |

Accordionist Frank Toscano was asked to arrange and perform music for the soundtrack of a new movie entitled “The Many Saints of Newark” which will be released worldwide on March 12th, 2021. Frank recorded eight songs and performed in the movie with guitarist, Steve Lucas, in the scene of the confirmation party for Janice, Tony’s sister. The movie is a prequel to the popular series “The Sopranos”. Among the songs he played were “Ferry Boat Serenade”, “Volare”, “The Nearness of You” and “Core Grate”. Video: Excerpts from the CD Milorad Marinkovic (Serbia/Germany) has just released his new CD “Akkordeon Classical Music”. The CD is a personal choice of Milorad’s favorite compositions and includes Jazz, world music, as well as classical music. Tracks include: Asturias (Albeniz), Sonata No 2 (Solotarjow), Sonata in D minor (Scarlatti), plus works by Repnikov, Strauss, Shishkin, Bach and Rimsky Korsakov among others. The online edition of the Celtic Connections QuebecFest will be held from January 15th to February 2nd, 2021. The event will feature a variety of music concerts and workshops for beginners as well as more experienced players. On January 29th, “Le Vent du Nord” (picture below) which includes accordionist Réjean Brunet, will entertain with their traditional folk pieces as well as original compositions at 8.45pm GMT. This will be followed by a performance by “De Temps Antan” which features accordionist Pierre-Luc Dupuis (picture left). This 3 piece group features a variety of instruments such as violin, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, foot-percussion along with three-part vocals. |

The New Zealand Accordion Association (NZAA) 2021 NZAA South Pacific Accordion Championships & Festival will be held in Auckland, June 5th and 6th, 2021. The event, due to Covid travel restrictions, will be open to only New Zealand residents or NZ passport holders. A variety of age group classes for soloists, duos, trios, ensembles and orchestras will be available. In memory of Auckland accordionist Andrew Glover (Andy), former member of the North Shore Musicale Accordion Orchestra who passed away suddenly, yet peacefully (non Covid) in December 2020, his composition Tender Tango (Solo) is available as a free download to AWW readers. Andy was a well-known competitor at the New Zealand Accordion Association annual Championships and Festival, usually entering the “Accordion with self vocal” classes as well as a performing in the Musicale Orchestra. He also set up Singing Telegrams in New Zealand. "Tender Tango" was selected as a test piece for an age category of the 2016 New Zealand Accordion Championships.
