Friedrich Lips, ‘Honored People’s Artist of Russia’, is one of the world’s most sought after concert accordionists and educators. He performs works written for him by Russia's leading composers and his own transcriptions of works for other instruments, and has made numerous recordings. He is Professor at the Gnessin Institute, Moscow, and author of the widely acclaimed book, ‘The Art of Bayan Playing’.
