Nord Accordion Festival 2023 – Norwayby Christine Johnstone |
  Nord Accordion 2023 will be held in concert venues Ole Bull Akademiet, Stalheim Hotel and the beautiful Bakka Chuch in Voss, Norway from August 1st to 6th, 2023.The festival will include a variety of concerts, master classes, a summer academy and seminars for young accordionists. The concerts will present a wide spectre of Norwegian and international accordionists in many genres, with programs from contemporary and classical music to jazz and Norwegian folk music. The traditional opening concert will be held in Osasalen on August 1st, with performances by Veli Kujala (Finland - picture above right), folk music from Møre and Romsdal, Marius Berglund and Kristina Farstad Bjørdal. Artistic director Geir Draugsvoll and project director Kristina Farstad Bjørdal will perform excerpts of the newly written work "Friggs Rokk" by Jorun Marie Kvernberg.
