NAO Area Festivals Commence! - UKby Anna Bodell of Charnwood Publications |

 Photo above left to right: Adults Raymond Bodell, Frederick Parnell and Dorothy Brincat and many of the prize winners.The NAO Area Festival season 2009/2010 commenced on October 31st with the Southern Area Festival held in Wimborne Dorset organised by Bob Downer and continued on the 8th November when the North West Area Festival was held in Fleetwood Lancashire, organized by Gina Brannelli. Photo left: Anna Bodell (NAO Vice President), Frederick Parnell (adjudicator) and Alexander Bodell (prize-winner). Both Festivals were well attended where adjudicators Raymond Bodell (CIA President), Colin Whitfield (NAO Hon Vice President), Douglas Ward and Frederick Parnell were treated to many promising performances! Highest mark 92 from the festivals awarded by Frederick Parnell went to Alexander Bodell – who altogether was the recipient of the 13 & under, Polka and Mussette first prizes. Very commendable performances were also given by Adam Smith. The next Area Festival is to be held in the Midlands in January. The series of Area Festivals culminate with the UK Championships to be held in Blackpool 23rd -25th April 2010 at the Metropole Hotel which itself is already sold out! |
