Ensemble Fandango at “Another Space” Festival - Russiaby Alexander Poeluev |
From 16 to 18 March 2009, the Moscow Philharmonic Society will host the first festival titled “Another Space” This festival is created to promote new music, supporting young artists and performers, promoting contemporary art. The festival will be attended by both known and young artists of modern academic music in Russia. 18 March at 20.00 at the Chamber Hall of the Moscow Philharmonic, the ensemble Fandango will be performing. The ensemble was formed in 2005 at the Russian Academy of Music (Gnesin) by undergraduate and postgraduate students. Initiator of the quintet was Prof. Viatcheslav Semionov. The accordionist is the winner of national and international competitions Maxim Fedorov (accordion), Konstantine Kaznacheev (violin), Artur Adamyan (violin), Artem Valentinov (viola), Peter Karetnikov (cello). Video Fandango In the festival program Fandango will make the premiere performance of a new work “Together”, which is five pieces for violin and accordion by the Ukrainian composer Alexander Schetinskay. Also being performed is “Bewegungen” by T. Lundquist for accordion and string quartet, as well as the music of Wolfgang Rihm, Andrey Zelensky and Sergey Berinsky. |
