  Historic video: A video in honor of the late John Reuther, inventor of the uniform keyboard accordion. A composition by his friend Pietro Frosini. Belfiore was composed by Frosini for then student Maddalena Belfiore who went on to become a famous performer, teacher, AAA President and international juror. Not many viewers will have seen a uniform keyboard accordion being played. John Reuther was also the author of the popular book 'Accordion Repairs Made Easy', Catalog: ED8631. I personally had the pleasure of meeting John Reuther in 1980 when he came to the Coupe Mondiale in Auckland, New Zealand. John Reuther lived from a child to a teenager in New Zealand, after which he and his parents immigrated to the USA. |
