 The 2013 Strumenti & Musica Festival for accordion and piano took place in the beautiful cultural city of Spoleto, from the 1st to 6th October and follows on from the most successful 2012 Coupe Mondiale held in Spoleto, also hosted by the Italian Accordion Culture (IAC), Italian member of the CIA-IMC.Photos of the event at: 2013SpoletoPhotos The results for the accordion categories were: Category A Senior Classic, 1st Ghenadie Rotari, 2nd Samuele Telari, 3rd Andrey Vasilyev; Category B Junior Classic, 1st Michele Toppo, 2nd Giancarlo Palena, 3rd Yuanyi Zhong; Category C Senior Virtuoso, 1st Matteo Petronio, 2nd Aleksander Kolovski, 3rd Simone Sciammarella; Category D Junior Virtuoso, 1st Andrea di Giacomo, 2nd David Kolesnikov; Category H Ensemble 1st Spirit Duo, 2nd Duo Insolito No. 1, 3rd Accoensemble Quartet; Category E 15 Years & Under, 1st Danil Loginov, 2nd Karolina Desyatkova, 3rd Edoardo Dominici; Category F 12 Years & Under, 1st Manuel Piccioni; Category G 9 Years & Under, 1st Deborah Moriconi; An important innovation for 2013 is the organization of master classes at the highest level, for both accordion and piano, taught by the important tutors Alexander Selivanov (Russia, accordion) and Denis Chefanov (Russia, piano) plus tutors from Italy which at times combine both piano and accordion. As well as the competitions and masterclasses there were other pedagogical seminars plus three major concerts.
