  The 2017 Coupe Mondiale World Accordion Championships is back in Italy again, returning 5 years after the CIA Member, the Italian Accordion Culture (IAC), hosted very successfully the 2012 Coupe Mondiale, in the beautiful city of Spoleto. The IAC extends a warm welcome to accordionists from around the world to come to Osimo (AN), 5th to 9th September. The Mayor of Osimo Simone Pugnaloni (picture right), "is happy to host an event that will bring worldwide attention to the cultural attactions of the City of Osimo." Osimo, an ancient city with excellent halls renowned for good acoustics, has regularly hosted international cultural events including a major international piano competition just one week before the 2017 Coupe Mondiale. The entire area of Southern Ancona (we are talking of the towns of Camerano, Castelfidardo, Filottrano, Loreto, Numana, Sirolo) will also be involved, and a series of promotional concerts is planned in co-ordination to promote extensively the accordion and the 2017 Coupe Mondiale.
