 French accordionist Richard Galliano and his La Strada Quintet will be in concert at the Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX on Thursday November 17th, 7.30pm.The Quintet are performing a tribute to the music of Nino Rota who wrote the music to many well-known films such as ‘The Godfather’, ‘The Legend of the Glass Mountain’, ‘La Dolce Vita’, as well as many other movies directed by Federico Fellini. This concert is part of the London Jazz Festival. Richard Galliano recently released a ‘Tribute to Nino Rota’ CD on the Deutsche Grammophon label, paying homage to the music of Nino Rota (1911-79), whose centenary is celebrated this year.
