Harbin China Summer International Accordion Art Week - Chinaby Harley Jones |
 The Harbin 2010 China Summer International Accordion Art Week is organized by the Ministry of Culture of China and the People's Government of Harbin, with co-organizers the Music Education Branch, Chinese Society of Music Education and Musicians Association of Heilongjiang Province, and the major sponsor is Harbin Normal University, Harbin, China. Harbin 2010From August 7th to 10th 2010, some of the finest accordionists around the world will be competing and performing at the Concert Hall of Harbin Normal University. There will be concerts, workshops, and a major international accordion competition, which is divided into 13 categories of solo and group sections for all ages. The Harbin 2010 chief organiser of the event is Professor Wang Hongyu, the Head of Keyboard department, Music College, Harbin Normal University. Professor Want Hongyu is professor, master tutor, and famous accordion player, educator, who has been invited to Russia, France and other international accordion competitions as a jury member some 10 times in recent years, so has the experience and knowledge to run this major international event.
