National Roland V-Accordion Festival, Los Angeles – USAby Steven Albini, Roland Corporation U.S. |
  Roland U.S. is proud to announce the U.S. National V-Accordion Festival will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 18th 2010.This increasingly popular event will be held at Roland Corporation U.S. headquarters and will bring together some of America’s most talented accordionists. The Grand Prize winner will win a Roland FR-7x accordion and a trip to Rome, Italy, to compete for the World Title and 5,000 Euros at the 4th International Accordion Festival in October (Senior Soloist Division only). Initial audition entrants may submit a DVD of themselves performing on a traditional accordion or a Roland V-Accordion. The audition performance must be no longer than 10 minutes in length and can be from any musical genre. Medleys or multiple songs are allowed, provided the total length of the performance is no longer than 10 minutes. Entries must be postmarked by July 15th 2010. Both amateurs and professionals are eligible to compete. The chosen national finalists will then play on V-Accordions, via special loan arrangements by Roland Corporation U.S. and its dealers.
