 The 2023 International Accordion Competition Vilnius will take place from March 23rd to 25th in Vilnius, Lithuania, organised by the Lithuanian Accordionists' Association and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.This year's event is the XV anniversary and is dedicated to two important events: the 90th anniversary of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the 700th anniversary of Vilnius. The competition includes categories according to genre, composition and age, from serious classical to light entertainment according to age and chosen genre of performance, for soloists, ensembles and orchestras of various compositions. The Artistic director of the competition is Prof. Raimondas Sviackevicius (picture left), President of the Lithuanian Accordionists' Association, and Head of the Accordion Department of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. |
