XIV ‘Young Talents’ Festival, Montrond les Bains – Franceby Gérard Chassagneux |
The next ‘Young Talents’ accordion festival and competition will be held on March 16th and 17th 2011, and features: - an International Accordion Competition for Variety Accordion and for Classical Accordion - a 5,100 euros grant will be allocated to the laureates of the competition - accommodation organized for foreign candidates - two concerts, one of them with the Paris-Moscou Duo, Domi Emorine and Roman Jbanov - evening performance with the four laureates of the 2011 International Grand Prix for Variety Accordion. The audience will be able to vote and award the ‘2011 Audience Prize’ to the best performer. No fewer than 24 countries from all over the world were gathered during the 2010 ‘Young Talents’ Festival. Some brilliant and highly-talented accordion players have won the Grand Prix, including Grayson Masefield (New Zealand), Camille Privat (France), Barbara Slawinska (Poland), Dimitri Bouclier (France), Katsiaryna Taras (Byelorussia), and Dragan Vasiljevic (Yugoslavia). All have since pursued very successful careers in music. The closing date for registration is January 1st 2011.
