 On Thursday August 16th, 7pm, accordionist Paul Capaldi and his bando performs in concert and at the Tyndale Accordion & Fiddle Club, Tynedale Farmers Function Suite, Hexham Auction Mart, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 3SG.Paul Capaldi is a member of an accordion dynasty. The Capaldi Brothers, Nick and Carmino, were amongst the very earliest show business pioneers of the piano accordion in Great Britain, and in the 1930s were a popular touring duo who appeared extensively in variety theatres. Renaldo Capaldi, the son of Carmino, was a fine solo concert accordionist, teacher, adjudicator, composer, and publisher/editor of the ‘Accordion Times’, 1986-90. Renaldo’s son, Paul Capaldi, has continued the family tradition to the present time as a highly accomplished player and teacher of the accordion, based in Scotland. |
