‘14 Years Ago’ – Autumn Accordion Festival tradition continues to this day

Malcolm GeeThe Accordions Worldwide news for November 13th 1998 included an article about the forthcoming Autumn Accordion Festival at Caister, Norfolk, England. Founded in 1986 by Malcolm Gee, whose sudden death in February 1997 stunned the British accordion scene, the Caister festival was rescued by Robert and Loreta Rolston, who ran the event for several years.

Fast forward to the present time, and this festival is now held at Mundesley, a holiday camp near to Caister, and organized by Heather Smith. Next year’s festival is set for October 7th to 11th 2013.

Below is the news article from 1998.
