| On June 18th, Accordions Worldwide published “Berlin Celebrates Piazzolla” in the Weekly News. You can see the item at: http://www.accordions.com/news.aspx?d=18-Jun-2021&lang=en#art17700 When concerts with an audience were still impossible due to the pandemic, musicians from seven European countries met with strings from the Berliner Symphoniker to record the big concert “Berlin celebrates Piazzolla” on May 30th, 2021 in the Auenkirche. The first part of the concert has now been published. The Quinteto Respiro, consisting of Sebastien Innocenti (bandoneon), Emilie Aridon-Kociolek (piano), Sabrina Condello (violin), Fabio Lo Curto (bass clarinet) and Dorian Marcel (double bass) has presented an excellent program of the highest quality. Outstanding international accordionists such as Yuri Shishkin, Sergei Osokin, Egle Bartkeviciute, Gorka Hermosa as well as the talented young accordionists Piotr Yarinenko and Ryan Corbett presented a very interesting program together with strings from the Berliner Symphoniker under the conductor Symeon Ioannidis. There were also two world premieres: “Dwarves‘ Tales” for accordion and strings by Gorka Hermosa which is dedicated to the Pantonale Festival, and “Infinito” for accordion and strings by Victor Vlasov. |
