Es wird Videos von allen Coupe Mondiale-Teilnehmern und den Konzerten geben, die vom CIA Video Archive and Education Project zur Verfügung gestellt werden.Video Homepage & Video Zeitplan unter: 2021CM-Video Tägliche Berichte, Bilder, Ergebnisse unter: 2021CM-Report Der Generalsekretär der Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), Kimmo Mattila, schreibt: "Die CIA gratuliert dem Ausrichter des Coupe Mondiale 2021, dem Deutschen Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV), zu 74 Anmeldungen aus 22 Ländern für den 74. Coupe Mondiale, der vom 13. bis 17. Oktober in München stattfindet." Während Covid die Anreise aus einigen Ländern erschwert, ist ein Coupe Mondiale mit Live-Jury bei den Teilnehmern und ihren Lehrern offensichtlich sehr beliebt. Darüber hinaus hat die CIA 44 Delegiertenanmeldungen aus 23 Mitgliedsländern für den Internationalen Kongress der CIA erhalten, wobei viele Delegierte auch als Juroren für die Coupe Mondiale Akkordeon-Weltmeisterschaften teilnehmen. CIA-Präsident Mirco Patarini schreibt: "Ich heiße alle Teilnehmer des 74. Coupe Mondiale herzlich willkommen und wünsche allen Teilnehmern viel Erfolg. Wir werden eine großartige Veranstaltung mit echter Musik in einer Live-Situation haben, und alle unsere jungen Spieler werden die Möglichkeit haben, ihr Talent ohne Grenzen zum Ausdruck zu bringen. | Das London Accordion Orchestra wird am 23. Oktober 2021 in der St. Gabriel's Church in Pimlico, Central London, England, sein erstes Konzert seit zwei Jahren geben, zusammen mit seinem zweiten Orchester "London Accordion Players". Alle Einnahmen aus dem Konzert werden an "The Friends of St. Gabriel's" gespendet. Die Zuschauerkapazität wird auf 150 (50%) begrenzt, um sicherzustellen, dass jeder genug Platz hat, um die Musik zu genießen. Mit über 50 Musikern in den beiden Ensembles wird den Besuchern eine große Vielfalt an Musik geboten, darunter Stücke von Astor Piazzolla, Stefan Hippe, Hans-Gunther Kolz, Adolf Gotz, Rudolf Wurthner und eine Weltpremiere von Ian Watson, dem Chefdirigenten des LAO. | Video: Duo Accosphere spielt J.S. Bach - Konzert in c-Moll, BWV1060- (Version für 2 Akkordeons) mit dem Przemysl Chamber Orchestra. Das klassische Akkordeon-Duo "Duo Accosphere" feiert diesen Monat sein 10-jähriges Bestehen. In den letzten 10 Jahren hat das Duo, bestehend aus Alena Budzináková & Grzegorz Palus (Bild oben), fast zweihundert Konzerte gespielt und Dutzende von Reisen in ganz Polen, Österreich, Bosnien und Herzegowina, China, Dänemark, Litauen, Deutschland, der Slowakei und der Ukraine unternommen. Ihr Konzertprogramm im Oktober in Polen sieht wie folgt aus: - 17. Oktober: Auftritt im Rahmen des XXII. Gleiwitzer Bachfestes in Gleiwitz. Auf dem Programm stehen Doppelkonzerte von J. S. | Der VIII. Internationale Studentenwettbewerb für Volksmusikinstrumente aus den GUS-Universitäten wird vom 1. bis 26. November 2021 in der Gnessin-Musikakademie in Moskau stattfinden. Der Wettbewerb wird vom Kulturministerium der Russischen Föderation, der Gnessin Russian Academy of Music und der Friedrich Lips Charitable Foundation unterstützt. Die Kategorien Bajan und Akkordeon werden am 24. und 25. November ausgetragen. Die Teilnehmer müssen Studenten musikalischer Bildungseinrichtungen der höheren und mittleren Berufsbildung sein.   The ATG will launch a new quarterly Professional Development Series for Accordion Teachers in November this year. The first event will be presented online on November 7th from 3pm to 6pm Central time, with presenters Prof. Joan C. Sommers (picture right), who will discuss “First Lessons for the Beginner” and Mary Ann Covone (picture left) who will discuss “Business Operations of a 21st Century Accordion Studio.” Enrolment will be capped at 15 attendees to allow ample time for discussion and questions.  Die von Prof. Alfred Melichar koordinierten Akkordeontage 2021 fanden in Kooperation mit dem Harmonikaverein Oberösterreich an der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität (vormals Brucknerkonservatorium) am 29. und 30. September 2021 statt und beleuchteten die nun mehr als 40-jährige Geschichte der Akkordeonausbildung und im Besonderen die Entwicklung der originalen Literatur für Akkordeon und der Kammermusik für Akkordeon und andere Instrumente. Program: 2021AntonBruckner.pdf Ein Schwerpunkt lag dabei auf neueren Werken lebender Komponisten - ausgehend und initiiert von zahlreichen Interpretinnen, die seit 1980 vorwiegend in der Akkordeonklasse Prof. Alfred Melichar an der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität ausgebildet wurden und von Alfred Melichar selbst. Nach der Eröffnung durch Rektorin Ursula Brandstätter hatte Alfred Melichar zu einer Konzerteinführung im Rahmen eines Komponist*innengesprächs geladen, wo in Präsenz oder Videozuspielungen interessante Details über die Werke des ersten Konzerts „Jogging with new music“ (drei Uraufführungen!) mit Absolvent*innen der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität präsentiert wurden. Das Abendkonzert „Metaphysisch, oder nicht?“ wurde von Melichar persönlich und dem Ensemble Wiener Collage bestritten, wo besonders die Solodarbietungen Melichars sowie Schönbergs „5 Orchesterstücke in der Kammerensemblefassung, op. 16“ unter der Leitung des Wiener Philharmonikers René Staar hervorragten. Der zweite Tag startete mit drei hochinteressanten Vorträgen über "Das Akkordeon in China" (Wei Bijun, MA), "Neue Werke von serbischen Komponisten" (Dr. Branko Dzinovic, MA) sowie "Musik in Konzentrationslagern" (Paul Schuberth, BA). Zum Abschluss der inspirierenden Veranstaltung folgten das Konzert „Kaleidoskop“ mit Schüler*innen der oberösterreichischen Landesmusikschulen sowie Jazz, Welt- & Unterhaltungsmusik in „Downtown and Uppertown“ und Tango in „Todo tango y mucho mas“ jeweils in der Interpretation von Absolvent*innen der Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität sowie der Ensembles „Dos y Tres“, „El Cabaseo“ und „Salon Odjila“. Insgesamt eine beeindruckende Leistungsschau der 40jährigen pädagogischen und künstlerischen Arbeit von Alfred Melichar! |

| The 72nd Perth Accordion & Fiddle Festival 2021 will be held online this month from Redgorton, Perth in Scotland. Video submissions will close on October 15th, 2021 at 11pm. Performances will be live on October 30th, 2021 at 9am. Accordion adjudicators are James Coutts, Michael Philip and Freeland Barbour. Competition results will be available at 4pm on October 30th, 2021 apart from the All Scotland Senior Traditional Accordion Solo Championship. | The Houston Accordion Orchestra Retreat conductor, Stas Venglevski is pleased to announce that six talented young artists will be joining the Houston Accordion Orchestra Retreat on youth scholarships. There will be 34 orchestra members at the 2022 retreat which will take place in the new year from January 13th to 16th. The event includes three full days of orchestra rehearsals, master classes with Stas Venglevski, a concert of original music composed by the orchestra members, open Mic and jam sessions every night plus a final public concert. The retreat will feature the music of Russia, France, Italy, Moldova, Finland, Azerbaijan, the World Premiere of a new orchestral Overture by Stas Venglevski plus a bonus performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” (by Freddie Mercury from Queen) performed by the orchestra. | Duo Vantango, which features accordionist Kosta Bozhinov and jazz pianist John Stetch performed at a new series of concerts/milongas, called “Victoria Tango Nights” in the Cameron Bandshell, Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, British Colombia, Canada on October 2nd, 2021. A limited number of couples were permitted to dance on stage at the Cameron Bandshell during the performance. These free outdoor concerts, funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage, aim to bring back the inimitable live experience to tango music lovers in Victoria, presenting some of the best Canadian tango musicians. The Victoria Tango Nights series will run from October 2021 until March 2022. Duo Vantango will perform again at the next concert on October 30th, 2021 at the same venue. They play a “contemporary twist to traditional Argentine tango...plus jazz, folk, and classical music." |

See video above.The song was composed for the Irish Hospice Foundation and is part of their Forum 2021 on Death, Dying and Bereavement. |

 The Global Music Festival “Akkordeon akut!” will be held in Halle, Germany from October 10th to 21st, 2021.The festival will focus on Halle musicians under the motto "Internationality in the Regions" and make the diversity of local accordion artists visible in a smaller, more intimate setting. Local musicians will perform on five different stages, with all concerts recorded and will be available in a few weeks after the festival. Performers include: • Landes-Akkordeon-Ensemble Sachsen-Anhalt (picture below) under the direction of Victor Bolgov will perform at the Freylinghausensaal in Halle. Their program will include works by L. Boëlmann, A. Piazzolla, L. Stark, I. Watson and others. • “The Kaiser/Butt New World Jazz Quartet” – modern jazz with Vincent Butt (accordion), at the Georgenkirche Halle on October 14th from 7.30pm. • Salon Pernod (picture above left) which includes Thomas Wittenbecher (accordion) and Patrick Zörner (guitar & vocals) will perform music by Calexico, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Townes van Zandt, Jacob Dylan, Steve Earle, John Mellencamp and Thomas Wittenbecher (music from the film "Schultze gets the Blues").  Ian Lowthian (picture left) will run an online “Intermediate Accordion Weekend” on October 23rd and 24th, 2021.The event will include a variety of musical styles with the opportunity for discussion and questions. Ian says “Over the years, many of you have had a go at my number one hit “The Stomach Steinway Man”, so I thought I might spend a little time on this tune at the intermediate weekend sorting out the fingering, phrasing, bellows changes etc. to help make the tune easier to play….I would also like to take a bit more time at this weekend to look at how to get the best out of the tunes through bellows control, best fingerings, articulations and dynamics etc. and perhaps discuss practice techniques to improve your general playing.” For details email: ianlowthian@yahoo.co.uk |
