| The III Terem Crossover International Music Competition will be held, 7th to 13th October in St Petersburg. The founder of the Terem Crossover International Music Competition is the Musical Society ‘Friends of Terem-Quartet’ and the competition is held with the support of the St Petersburg Government’s Culture Committee. The competition is for music groups, 2 to 7 members comprising any musical instruments and is open to all nationalities. Vocal performances are allowed provided they are treated as musical instruments. There is a qualifying first round using video. The competition features excellent prize money, 1st 500,000 rubles (about US$16,500), 2nd 300,000 rubles (about US$10,000) and 3rd 150,000 rubles (about US$5,000). Entries close 30th June 2013.
