 We sadly report the passing of Prof. Walter Maurer, the long time Secretary General of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) from 1975 - 2006. Prof. Walter Maurer had a long life of musical achievements and these can be seen on the web page: Walter Maurer. Also, the Celebrity Interview in 1999 at: MaurerInterview Prof. Walter Maurer passed away on December 1st, 2017 and is survived by his wife Silvia and his children Christine and Walter. Condolences to the family from all the accordion community.
