 Flaco Jiménez (born 1939) is a legendary figure in the genre known alternatively as Tex-Mex, Conjunto or Tejano. Jiménez has performed in many parts of the world, and has done more than anyone to spread the music of the people of Mexican origin living in Texas internationally.He has also performed and recorded with the likes of Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, Los Lobos, The Mavericks, Bryan Ferry, The Clash, The Chieftains, Jimmy Sturr, Willie Nelson, Ry Cooder, David Hidalgo, and the Rolling Stones.
