 Aydar Gaynullin is a star, not only in his Russian homeland, but also in many other countries where the accordion virtuoso has made already a name: he has played for Presidents and heads of State from different countries such as Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Putin, Jacques Chirac, Kim Chen Nir , Spanish Queen Sophia, Princess of Malaysia, and the Sheikh of Kuwait. Aydar also writes music for theater pieces and films, has recorded several CDs and DVDs, and appeared in various TV shows. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Residence Orchestra, the Ensemble together with the award-winning accordionist performed a memorable concert: ‘Tango de Amor’ at the Kammermusiksaal of the Berlin Philharmonie. Performers were: Aydar Gaynullin (accordion, akkordina), Aleksey Wagner (guitar), Sergey Ahmed (Cajon , Udu, percussion instruments), Arkady Shilkloper (French horn, flugelhorn, alphorn), Dorian Wilson (conductor), Elias Faingersh (trombone), Mikhail Dzyudze (bass balalaika), and the Berlin Residence Orchestra under the direction of Dimitri Corda. |
