Thom Hardaker Concert, Yorkshire – UKby Rob Howard |
Accordionist Thom Hardaker will perform at St Thomas' Church in Sutton-in-Craven, West Yorkshire BD20 7JS later this month. Local resident Thom will perform at 7.30pm on Wednesday April 20th. Thom’s programme will include music by Astor Piazzolla, Phil Cunningham, J.S. Bach, and Rossini, and he will play genres including folk, classical and world music. Thom began studying accordion as a child with teacher Harry Hinchcliffe, founder of the Craven Accordion Orchestra, at the Craven School of Music in Cross Hills. He won a place at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in St Petersburg, Russia, where he studied with Professor Oleg Sharov. In 2009, while studying in St Petersburg, Thom took first prize in the final of the city’s Baltic Accordion Festival, and he periodically returned to the UK to perform local concerts.
