 The famous 33rd Shanghai Spring International Music Festival includes a concert titled "Accordion - the Soulmate" to be held on the 9th May at the very prestigious Shanghai Grand Theatre Buick Auditorium. Concert poster: 2016SSIMF.jpgThe Shanghai Grand Theatre is an internationally famous theatre complex and also a landmark for the city of Shanghai, situated in the northern part of the People's Square. The important Shanghai Spring International Music Festival originally started in 1959 and is China’s oldest festival, devoted to promoting international exchange and enriching people’s spiritual and cultural life. "Accordion - the Soulmate" Artistic Direction is by Li Cong, Wang Congyu, Zhang Guoping and Shi Xuan and the Performance Unit is the Music College of Shanghai Normal University, well known for successful accordion students. "Accordion - the Soulmate" is also "For World Accordion Day " which is organised annually by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (IMC - UNESCO). "Accordion - the Soulmate" aims to showcase the diversification and development of accordion art with innovative and diversified music styles, the tone and the techniques of the accordion, with the music deeply connecting you and me.
