The 66th International CIA Coupe Mondiale, 19th to 25th August, 2013 is in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada hosted by the Canadian CIA member, the British Columbia Accordion Society, President Aleksandar Milojevic. All are welcomed to this exciting international accordion event and accordionists are invited to perform in the CIA World Accordion Orchestra (WAO) VII. The first work will be Danse Villageoise by Claude Champagne, arranged and conducted by Maureen Jarosh. The second work will be a selection from Les Misérables by Claude-Michel Schönberg & Herbert Kretzmer, arranged and conducted by Joan Cochran Sommers, CIA Vice President and founder of the WAO. Les Misérables will also feature the New Zealand tenor, Lionel Reekie who has sung this particular piece with several symphony orchestras recently. The members of the CIA WAO VII will again include musicians from many different countries – including many officers of the CIA and delegates attending the 130th CIA Congress.
