 An Accordion Workshop takes place on September 12th, 13th and 14th at the Accordion Museum in Castelfidardo, Italy, led by Alessandro Mugnoz (picture left) and Corrado Rojac. In addition to accordion tuition, there will be presentations of two recently restored tutor books from the 19th Century, plus a look back at accordions and harmoniflutes from the 19th Century.The first day, September 12th, includes a presentation of the tuition book, ‘Complete Method for Accordion’, written in 1876 by Antonio Lopez Almagro (1838-1904), newly edited by Alessandro Mugnoz. On September 13th there will be a presentation of ‘1839: la fisarmonica di Giuseppe Greggiati’, This rare book, containing 33 lessons, hundreds of exercises and 50 repertoire pieces, was published in Mantua, Italy, in 1839 by a priest, Fr Giuseppe Greggiati. Long considered to be lost, a copy turned up in 2012, and has since been reprinted for study at conservatories in Italy and around Europe. For further information email: info@nuovocdmi.it |
