 Video: Senior competition finalists Cristian Perez & Junior LariosThe 2021 Francisco el Hombre Festival will be held in Columbia during August, 2021. The festival will include an online competition and awards from August 7th to 9th for the best accordionist, singer and group in youth and senior categories. This event is a tribute to Lady Guajira: Ruth Berardinelli, a highly regarded leader who died unexpectedly. The competition results will be streamed live on the regional channel Telecaribe. Senior accordion finalists are: Jamir Ospino & Jhosep Cervantes Yair Ortiz & Rafael Alvarado Cristian Perez & Junior Larios Daniel Linan & Danny Orozco Aris Vargas & Jose Molina Youth finalists are: La Tropa de Luifer (Colombia) Eidan Medina & Jesus Negrete (Venezuela) Nuestra Tierra (Colombia) Anthony Portillo & Camilo Hernandez (Colombia) The objective of the festival is to promote and foster the artistic quality of contemporary Vallenato music, to reward the efforts of those who stand out during the year as the best interpreters of contemporary Vallenato music, to promote the emergence and publicize national and international new talents in the fields of composition, singing and interpretation of contemporary Vallenato music and to promote the cultural and tourist development of the Department of La Guajira. |
