 At the 124th Congress of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes held last week in Varazdin, Croatia, the Chinese delegation announced the exciting details of the 2011 Coupe Mondiale to be held in Shanghai, 2nd to 6th October 2011. The Chinese delegation of Professor Li Cong (CIA Delegate and 2011 CIA Honorary Vice President), Mr. Yu Zhen (Vice President and General Secretary of the Shanghai Musicians Association) and Cyrstal Wang (Vice President of the Shanghai Accordion Association), took part in a ceremonial signing of the 2011 Coupe Mondiale hosting contract. The Coupe Mondiale 2011 promises to be one of the most important competitions and festivals ever held with record entries very likely with such tremendous support for competitors.
