 ‘Bellows Across Borders’ is a concert featuring the London Accordion Orchestra (MD Ian Watson) and the visiting Wiesbaden Accordion Orchestra, from Germany. This takes place on Saturday June 6th, 7.30pm, at St Gabriel’s Church, Warwick Square, Pimlico, London SW1V 2AD.The Wiesbaden Accordion Orchestra’s programme includes Handel’s ‘Royal Fireworks Suite’ and Saint Saens’ ‘Danse Macabre’. The London Accordion Orchestra will perform Gotz’s ‘Rhapsodie Andalusia’ and a unique collaboration with top saxophonist Christian Forshaw. LAO was previously known as the Morley Accordion Orchestra, founded in 1999. In 2013 they performed at the World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Austria, and in 2014 changed their name to the London Accordion Orchestra. For further information email: mail@londonao.co.uk |
