| The 14th annual Las Vegas International Accordion Convention will be held Monday, October 28th, through Thursday October 31st 2013, at the Gold Coast Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Room rates this year are only $34 per night, single or double occupancy. This event celebrates the accordion and presents the largest lineup of accordion stars on the planet. Featured this year will be the Las Vegas International Accordion Orchestra under the direction of Professor Joan Cochran Sommers. We will be celebrating Halloween Venetian style with the theme Carnival of Venice in Vegas. There will be a costume party, with awards, on Wednesday October 30th. This event will feature performances by Mr. Entertainment himself, Dick Contino, Joey Miskulin, Gee Rabe, Stas Venglevski, and Jeff Lisenby. Also performing are Peter & Mady Soave, Mary Tokarski, Gordon Kohl, Gina Brannelli, Mario Pedone, comedian Pete Barbutti and MORE! The Las Vegas International Accordion Convention attracts 300 to 500 participants and is held annually in Las Vegas. Featured at the event are over 40 workshops and master-classes, 4 dinner concerts, 3 lunch concerts, and an after hours hot spot called Club Concerto where any attendee is welcome to perform on stage. New this year will be a ‘Star Search’ where any participant may register and compete. This will mark the fourteenth year of this entertainment and educational event.
