‘Tribute to Teiji Ito’, New York – USAby Guy Klucevsek |
An evening dedicated to the late Japanese composer Teiji Ito (1935-82), recognised as a founding composer of the experimental new music scene in New York, takes place on December 12th, 7.30pm, at the Japan Society, 333 East 47th Street at First Avenue, NYC. The presenter is John Zorn, and featuring accordionist Guy Klucevsek, flautist/saxophonist Steve Gorn, and other musicians. The program will include ’The Coach with the Six Insides’, ‘Lifelines’, ‘Meditation on Violence’, ‘Arabesque for Kenneth Anger’, ‘Moonplay’, ‘Watermill’, and music from ‘King Ubu’.
