Accordionists João Gentil, from Portugal, and Alejandro Brittes, from Argentina, met in 2010 during the festival Encontro Mundial de Musicas de Acordeon held in Valledupar, Colombia. They began playing together, and uniquely combine Fado, Tango, Milonga, and Chamamé, the music of Portugal and Argentina, styles that are fuelled by passion and tradition. For their concerts this weekend, João Gentil and Alejandro Brittes are accompanied by André Elyv (7 string guitar), Lucas Rocha (7 string guitar) and Luis Formiga (percussion).
