Dans un conte de fées se terminant à la Coupe Mondiale en Nouvelle-Zélande, Grayson Masefield a remporté devant son public très enthousiaste chez lui, faire une très excitante se terminant à l'édition de 2009 Coupe Mondiale. Un large public, plus de 1000 personnes sur quelques nuits, ont soutenu Grayson à ses performances
Grayson a remporté à la fois la Coupe Mondiale, et les catégories Virtuoso Entertainment - la première fois que ces deux événements ont été gagnés dans la même année.
La Coupe Mondiale rapports quotidiens sont désormais finalisé et en ligne sur le site internet Coupe Mondiale. Vous pouvez télécharger les résultats complets de chaque candidat.
Vous pourrez également télécharger le programme est-Coupe Mondiale. Cette publication colo plein 60 pages est disponible en deux formats.  Disponible sur le site de la Coupe Mondiale pour télécharger la vidéo de tous Coupe Mondiale 2009. Chaque performance des candidats est disponible pour seulement 55 Euro. Vous téléchargez les fichiers sur votre ordinateur et regardez-le à votre guise aussi souvent que vous le souhaitez.
Il s'agit d'un must pour tous les enseignants et les étudiants qui veulent apprendre plus sur le concours Coupe Mondiale et le répertoire exécuté.

Le 16 et 17 août le premier festival dédié à la grand-Principe Peppino a eu lieu à Monte Sant'Angelo (Foggia). C'était deux jours de musique intense dans la ville natale du prince d'Accordéon.
Sur la soirée d'ouverture accordéonistes Donato Santoianni, de Molise, et Danilo di Paolonicola, des Abruzzes, et les très jeunes artistes Andrea di Giacomo et Andrea Tini, exécutée sur scène à Monte Sant'Angelo.
Le 17 août, le célèbre jazz accordéoniste Renzo Ruggieri honoré le Maestro. Sur scène Adriano Ranieri, joué de la musique classique, et le virtuose Antonio Spaccarotella, et le Savatore Cauteruccio Duo effectué World Music.
La fête s'est terminée par une performance du groupe Principe Peppino qui, littéralement, chassa les citoyens locaux de leur esprit avec plusieurs ovations pour leur idole, en particulier lors de la conclusion de la soirée avec un duo final avec Renzo Ruggieri, considéré par beaucoup comme son successeur .

Dr William Schimmel - calendrier/New York - USAby Rob Howard

 Calendrier de la performance comprend:
Le Septembre 8e, 9e et 11e, le Dr Schimmel se produira avec l'Orchestre philharmonique de New York dans un concert qui mettra en vedette le célèbre ténor, Andrea Bocelli. Le concert aura lieu au Carnegie Hall.
Le 9 Septembre, le Dr Schimmel interprétera son propre travail, «Club parousie», à l'Union Theological Seminary à New York. Son travail a d'abord été commandée par la Biennale presbytérienne et a été créée à Tucson, en Arizona. Il a été conçu en collaboration avec Rev.Robert Brashear.
Dr. Schimmel se produira avec l'Ensemble Argento, menée par Michel Galante, le 12 Septembre dans une première mondiale de «Xenos», par le compositeur autrichien, Beat Furrer, qui agira également comme le narrateur. Le spectacle aura lieu au restaurant Le Poisson Rouge, anciennement The Village Gate, un lieu consacré à la musique novatrices.
Le 14 Septembre et 5 mardis consécutifs suivants, le Dr Schimmel se produira avec la chanteuse Gay Marshall dans une série de chansons rendues célèbres par la grande Édith Piaf. Les représentations auront lieu à la salle Metropolitan, l'une des discothèques les plus sophistiqués de Manhattan.
Dr. Schimmel sera présentée en première son nouvel ouvrage, «Let's Celebrate», le Septembre 20, à New York Tavern on the Green, dans un hommage à Faithe Deffner, qui sera honoré d'un «Lifetime Achievement Award de l'Association des Accordéonistes américain» (American Accordionists' Association).

Charles Magnante Quartet DVD, Stockport - UKby Rob Howard

 Charles Magnante (1905-86), born in New York, was for decades one of the world’s most admired accordionists, and his exceptional artistry did much to raise the image of the accordion in the USA and overseas. His recordings, compositions and arrangements are still held in high regard for their unrivalled quality. Magnante performed both as a soloist and as leader of his own quartet.
A unique DVD is now available, featuring 5 numbers played by the Charles Magnante Quartet. The pieces performed are ‘Waltz a la Accordion’ (a swing arrangement by Magnante of Chopin’s ‘Minute Waltz’), ‘Tantalizin’ (Magnante), ‘Andalucia’ (‘The Breeze & I’, by Ernesto Lecuona), ‘Sweet Sue’ (Harris/Young), and ‘Dance of the Spanish Onion’ (David Rose).
These films were made in 1946, and are known as ‘soundies’ (an early version of the music video). The line up is Charles Magnante – accordion, George Wright on electronic organ and piano, Jack Smith on electric guitar, and Eugene Ettore on string bass. George Wright went on to become one of America’s foremost theatre organists, Jack Smith was a leading jazz guitarist and vocalist, and Eugene Ettore found fame as an accordionist, composer and arranger.

 The 3rd annual Tejano Conjunto Festival, featuring some of the best talent in tejano accordion music, takers place in Sacramento, California, on September 6th, 1pm, at Cesar Chavez Plaza. Performers at this year's festival include Hometown Boys, Jay Perez, Bob Gallarza, and more.
Tejano/Conjunto music has it’s roots deep in the Rio Grande Valley where it began many years back and has continued to grow in popularity. It sings to the Mexican American working class who made this music popular. The music now has a category of it’s own in the Grammy awards, and Tejano Conjunto music has spread throughout the USA. |

 Accordionist José Valadez will perform a recital On Wednesday September 9th, 7.30pm, at Casa de la Cultura de Monterrey, México.  The 14th Sebastopol Cajun/Zydeco Festival, orgfanised by the Rotary Club of Sebastopol Sunrise, takes place on September 12th, 10am until 7pm, at Ives Park, 7400 Willow St, Sebastopol, CA. This annual festival offers live music, Cajun food, and dancing under the redwoods.
Performers this year include CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band, Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys, Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic, Theo and the Zydeco Patrol, and more.

A concert styled “The Still Voice Speaks Within” takes place on September 13th, 3.30pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, London. This concert is part of the Chelsea Schubert Festival.
“The Still Voice Speaks Within” is a journey celebrating the music and art from Purcell to Piazzolla, and interwoven with Schubert melodies.
The performers are Phuong Nguyen (accordion), Satoko Fukuda (violin), Dario Martin (piano), Miho Sanou (piano), Alexander Baker (baritone), and Rosie Mayhew (scenic artist)

Terem Quartet Concert, Vilnius – Lithuaniaby Rob Howard

 The Terem Quartet perform in concerts at the Vilnius Congress Concert Hall, Vilnius, on September 18th and 19th, 7pm. The program includes arrangements of compositions by Francis Poulenc, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Eugeny Petrov, Juri Falik, Pedro Datto, Astor Piazzolla and other composers.
The members of the Terem Quartet are Andrey Konstantinov - soprano domra, Mikhail Dziudze - bass balalaika, Aleksey Barchtchev - alto domra, and Andrey Smirnov - bayan accordion. The conductor is Gintaras Rinkevicius. |
