25th Anniversary, Open Day at the Royal Academy of Music, London – UKby Rob Howard |
  An Open Day to mark the 25th year of the Accordion Department at the Royal Academy of Music which was started by Prof. Owen Murray (picture left) who continues to this day as the accordion professor. The Open Day will have as Special guest Lars Holm and takes place on Sunday June 10th 2012, 11am to 6pm. Admission is free. There will be a concert given by RAM accordion students. Teachers are welcome to bring their students. Anyone wishing to play in an open lesson situation, please inform the RAM Accordion Department administrator, Karen Ingram on 0207 873 7380 or email k.ingram@ram.ac.uk Also, on Thursday May 17th at 7.30 pm in the David Josefowitz Recital Hall at the RAM, Academy accordion students will perform works by Efrem Podgaits, Lutoslawski, JS Bach and Yuji Takahashi. |
