 Vidéo : Performance de Pietro Adragna sur le concours Italia’s Got Talent TV.L'accordéoniste Pietro Adragna (Sicile, Italie) a séduit les juges et le public avec sa performance Italia's Got Talent TV le 23 février 2022. Les juges ont été enthousiasmés par son jeu et lui ont décerné quatre "OUI". L'émission télévisée a été diffusée sur SKY en Italie. Vous verrez que le nom de l'accordéon est couvert. L'accordéon est fabriqué par l'usine d'accordéon Mengascini en Italie qui parraine également Pietro Adragna. Le nom Mengascini est recouvert de ruban adhésif par la chaîne de télévision pour empêcher la publicité gratuite. |

  Le CNIMA dirigé par Nathalie Boucheix propose des stages d'accordéon variés en avril comme suit :• 11 au 15 avril 2022 : Cours d'Accompagnement d'Accordéon avec Aurélien Noël (photo ci-dessus à gauche). Aurélien a accompagné des artistes de variétés comme Eddy Mitchel, Céline Dion et Roberto Alagan et vous apprendra à accompagner des solistes à l'accordéon. • 18 au 22 avril 2022 : Cours d'accordéon diatonique avec Alain Pennec (photo ci-dessus à droite). Figure incontournable de la musique celtique, Alain Pennec vous propose un travail technique (doigté & ornementation), harmonique et rythmique. • 18 au 22 avril 2022 : Cours d'Accordéon Musette & Swing avec Eric Bouvelle. Lauréat du concours international, Eric Bouvelle propose une immersion dans la musette et le swing avec un travail sur le répertoire, les arrangements et la composition. • 25 au 29 avril 2022 : Cours d'accordéon avec Franck Angelis, compositeur de l'accordéon d'aujourd'hui, Franck anime un atelier autour de ses oeuvres.  Joe Cerrito s'est produit avec le Venice Symphony Orchestra situé à Venice, en Floride, connu pour ses concerts à guichets fermés.Les 4 et 5 février 2022, l'orchestre a présenté trois concerts spectaculaires « Une nuit aux Oscars » à guichets fermés. Le chef d'orchestre de l'Orchestre symphonique de Venise, Troy Quinn, est connu pour sa « direction énergique et captivante, mais sensible », ainsi que pour sa diversité. Il est aussi à l'aise avec la pop, l'opéra, Broadway et la musique classique. Pour ce concert, Maestro Quinn a choisi des partitions primées aux Oscars et a créé une soirée fascinante de grandes sélections de John Williams, Elmer Bernstein, Henry Mancini et d'autres. Pour quelques-unes de ces pièces, telles que "Concerning Hobbits" du Seigneur des Anneaux de Howard Shore : La Communauté de l'Anneau, et "Love Theme" du Parrain de Nino Rota, Quinn voulait apporter un accordéon. L'accordéoniste Joe Cerrito a été choisi. Le pianiste Dick Hyman (qui réside à Venise), a bien exprimé ce choix : « Bien sûr, ils ont choisi Joe. C'est l'homme de la situation !" L'accordéon et le jeu habile de Joe ont ajouté la bonne touche aux sélections. L'orchestre fut heureux de partager la scène avec Joe et lui avec eux. Joe fêtera son 89e anniversaire le mois prochain et est toujours très actif, jouant dans des restaurants, des festivals et des soirées privées à Sarasota, en Floride et à Providence, dans le Rhode Island.   The Messe Frankfurt Group, organisers of the 2022 Musikmesse have regrettably announced that the April 2022 event will not take place this year due to current Covid-19 pandemic regulations.However, they are already planning to re-establish the audience format Musikmesse Plaza and Musikmesse Festival for a later year. Further details will be announced in the future. |

| Entries are now open for the 16th Annual Big Squeeze youth accordion competition, which will be held in person and online during April 2022 organised by Texas Folklife. The competition will include Cajun, zydeco and polka categories for 25 years and under and Conjunto categories for 21 years and under. The event will also include a series of virtual discussions with members of Texas’ accordion community about the future of the Big Squeeze. Competition entries will close on March 31st 2022. Conjunto Semi-Finals will be held live at the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg on April 23rd, 2022. The AAA Composers’ Commissioning History has been updated and expanded. 3.  Accordionist Nathan Koci accompanies Sam Sadigursky (clarinets) on his newly released 3 CD set entitled “Solomon Diaries”.The music was featured live at an event commemorating the liberation of Auschwitz at The Sheen Center in NewYork City in early 2020, and was also featured recently on the Met Museum’s weekly Balcony Bar series. CD tracks intimately fuse sounds of Jewish spiritual and Klezmer music along with classical influences, middle-eastern rhythms, jazz improvisation, and tinges of Americana. The three volume set is available on the Adhyaropa Records label. |

The group enjoy performing a mix of folk, Arabic, Celtic, funk, soul and Gypsy jazz music. Their tour, which began on March 2nd, will include concerts at 30 venues in the North and South Islands. | Radu Ratoi will give a solo recital as part of the “Martisor 2022” Festival on March 7th at 6pm. The concert will be held at the Sala cu Orga (Organ Hall) in Chisinau, Moldova. His program will include works by Bach and Liszt, as well as a new premiere for the accordion by composer Ghenadie Ciobanu. Radu will also feature pieces from his new CD “Greatest Organ Works”. |

| Vardos Trio, which includes accordionist Sophia Chapman will entertain at the Windfire Music Festival, Wesley Church, Geelong, Australia on March 12th, 2022 at 3pm. Their program entitled “From Myth to Masterpiece” will “explore the folk traditions behind classical Eastern European composers Chopin, Liszt, Bartok and Tchaikovsky. Jacques Mornet et Nathalie Boucheix feront une série de masterclasses CNIMA aux États-Unis , ce prochain printemps 2022. Cet enseignement est ouvert aux accordéonistes de tout âge, tout niveau, tout style qu’ils jouent de l’accordéon piano ou à boutons. Les dates sont les suivantes : • 25 mai de 14h à 17h : Masterclass d'accordéon à South Oxford Place (BK) à New York • Du 30 mai à 14h00 au 3 juin à 12h30 : Stage d'accordéon de quatre jours à l'Alliance Française de la Nouvelle-Orléans • 5 juin de 14h à 17h : Masterclass d'accordéon au Petosa Accordion Shop à Seattle • 9 juin à 19h : Démonstration d'accordéon à l'Alliance Française de Los Angeles Jacques Mornet a enseigné à travers le monde et est détenteur du prix Gus Viseur et le disque d'argent de l'Académie russe Gnessin. En 2003, il a reçu le prix du mérite de la CIA. La méthode Mornet consiste à aborder l'accordéon comme un instrument à vent plutôt qu'un instrument clavier. Une bonne gestion du soufflet combinée à un toucher crée des résultats exceptionnels qui transforment le jeu et libèrent la musicalité. Les étudiants du CNIMA ont le meilleur palmarès au monde avec 126 premier prix aux concours internationaux.
