| The first anniversary special of the Virtual Accordion Camp V, will be held online on June 5th, 2021. The event will include workshops, jam sessions, social time during the day and a special celebration evening concert. The accordion camp theme is composition, and workshops will cover some popular contemporary compositions with lots of accordion technique and accordion-specific ideas built into the sessions as well as information on how to create your own tunes and harmonies! In addition the event will feature a tune party by tutors as they share their favorite pieces of music for all to play along with. Sheet music will be available in advance. Workshops will include: Rachel Bell: How to Write a Tune Jeremiah McLane: Swing Gavotte Rachel Bell: Tunebook Sampler Alex Cumming: Bringing your Music to Life The event will finish with a free concert filmed in a beautiful old quarry in Vermont, USA at 6pm EST.
