David Vernon’s St Andrews Night Ball, Warsaw – Polandby Rob Howard |
Scottish accordionist David Vernon writes, “Another great night on Saturday, playing for the Warsaw Caledonian Society. Personally it was my 28th trip to play for them, and the 20th year doing their St Andrews Night Ball. Singer/guitarist Andy Ramage and I did the first one in 1996. Saturday was very much focused on fund-raising for local charities, (especially children) and the charity auction/raffle at midnight raised an astonishing 160,000 Zloty, which is approximately £26,500. Now that's a result in anyone's book!!” |
