La Bottine Souriante, from Quebec, is a ten piece ensemble who specialize in traditional Québécois folk song and dance music. Formed in 1976, their present line-up includes Pierre Bélisle (piano accordion) and Benoît Bourque (diatonic accordion). La Bottine Souriante’s new CD, ‘Appellation D' Origine Controlee’, presents a selection of lively Québécois dance tunes.
