Shalova This very prestigious international competition takes place every three years in the categories: I (string quartet), II (wind ensembles) and Festa (in memory of the world-famous violinist Yehudi Menuhin). The Duo Prokopiev of Artyom Davtyan (domra) and Nikolay Prokopiev (accordion) from Novosibirsk (Russia) participated in the "Chamber Music Festa" and won the 1st Prize (Menuhin Gold Prize) through their excellent performance and carefully selected program. The historical background, is that the teachers of these two musicians, Andrei Romanov (accordion) and Andrei Kugaevsky (domra) took part in this competition in 2003 and also won the gold medal. |
