Spring Festival in Castelfidardo – Italyby Holda Paoletti-Kampl |
The International Castelfidardo Spring Accordion Festival will soon be in full swing. From May 14th to 16th, the Piazza della Repubblica will be invaded by tango rhythms. The Festival begins with the Latin Grammy awards nominee Renato Borghetti, on tour from Brazil. Entertainment is assured on the evening of the 14th when Renato and his Quartet will be accompanied by professional dancers. On the 15th and 16th the square will explode with music and tango dance courses. International tango teachers will give demonstrations on a stage at the centre of the square. Tango rhythms will be accompanied by the colour and flavours given by food tasting stalls filled with delicious local and seasonal products, and a stand with the official gadgets of the Festival. There will also be a conference on Tango Therapy held by internationally famous artistes in the former cinema and auditorium of the P.Soprani Civic Music School. For the younger ones there will be an area dedicated to video games with maxi-screen where you can play the latest games, musically themed. Clinics held by M.
